“Our bodies hold the stories of all that we experience, stories that remain embedded, often outliving their use and truth. Fully witnessing them is no easy feat, but it can be revolutionary when we are able to do so.”
- Jennifer Patterson

Being a therapist is an isolating experience. We hold hundreds of stories that we are not allowed to share, and as a result, we may minimize the importance of witnessing their impact on our bodies.
Most groups for therapists focus on how we can help our clients (e.g., consultations, supervision, case conceptualization). There are very few groups that focus on the therapist's experience and how being holders of stories impact our bodies.
Gen and I have been craving a space like this where we witness and honor everything our body holds, and this is why we decided to create this group. We are beyond excited to be facilitators and members of this community.
This group is a safe space to show up as you are and wherever you are in your therapist journey. There will be space to share experiences, but sharing is not required. We honor everyone’s unique process. Although we will be in community, we will not be therapists for each other we will show up as humans having a therapist experience.
This group includes:
(4) Two-hour groups to practice honoring and connecting to your body through music, journaling, visualizations, and breathwork.
Investment:
The investment for each week is $40 and the group will be held via Google Meets on TBD.
